Single Acid Chemical Peel

Peels treat a variety of skin conditions. Conditions we can treat: acne at all ages, whether it is papular, pustular, hormonal, or congested with blackheads and/or whiteheads; hyperpigmentation concerns such as sun damage, age spots and melasma; textural issues, such as rough, patchy, hyperkeratinized skin and acne scarring; severely dry and dehydrated skin.

The peels we use are single acid peels: 20% Lactic Acid and 30% Glycolic Acid from Skin Script. Your esthetician will recommend the appropriate peel for your skin type and concerns. These peels have no downtime as the peeling happens at the cellular level.

Appropriate home care will be recommended and use of sunscreen is required after receiving a chemical peel.

Note: these are peels only, there is no facial. More than one peel is usually recommended for desired results.

10% TCA Depigmentation Peel is a gentle yet powerful treatment that effectively targets melanocytes without causing skin trauma. Formulated with azelaic, arbutin, and kojic acids—each known for their tyrosinase-inhibiting properties—this peel helps manage hyperpigmentation, melasma, and sun damage across all skin types. This blend of acids works harmoniously to even out skin tone, reduce acne, and refine skin texture, making it an excellent choice for overall skin rejuvenation.

This peel is gentle, yet effective and up to 8 layers can safely be applied. Mild flaking may occur. Sunscreen is required after receiving a chemical peel.

More than one peel is usually recommended for desired results.

Alpha/Beta Chemical Peel

The alpha-beta peel is a targeted way to treat moderate to severe acne breakouts. This is actually 2 chemical peels in one treatment. First, we begin with the alpha peel, which is 30% glycolic acid. Glycolic acid is an AHA (alphahydroxy acid) that does the following:

  • Desquamates (breaks down the bonds that hold skin cells together) skin cells
  • Exfoliates
  • Softens
  • Reduces keratinization
  • Treats mild to moderate acne
  • Minimizes pore size

The alpha peel is then neutralized and the beta peel is applied. The BHA (betahydroxy acid) peel is 20% salicylic acid which kills the P. acnes bacteria and does the following:

  • Resurfaces and refines the skin and pores
  • Removes oil and debris
  • Excellent antioxidant
  • Inhibits inflammation

This part of the peel is hot! You will be fanned for the 5-8 minutes the peel is on the skin and then it will be removed. Following the peel removal, SPF will be applied.

With the alpha-beta peel expect for the skin to begin peeling in 3-5 days. Peeling should last for several days to a week.

More than one peel is usually needed to achieve desired results.
